Dear Robin, Hope, Heather and Staff:

There really is no way to capture in a simple thank you note how we feel about your center and the treatment we received. Making the decision to fly down from Philadelphia to get HBOT treatments for our 3 year old daughter with profound food allergies was a big decision. We were scared about how she would feel being in the HBOT tank, and whether we'd see enough improvement to warrant the out of pocket expense. The one thing we have learned through our 3 years with Ava is that patience is key, and researching the alternative professionals and treatment methodologies is important. Like many parents who have a child with a major medical problem, out of desperation you tend to try everything and to put your heart and soul in it an, only to experience tremendous disappointment. What we know about Ava's case is that she has leaky gut, in addition to a variety of other underlying conditions such as candida and gut strep, which are responsible for the major rashes, food reactions, and at times OeD behaviors that we see. We have a sweet happy little girl who is thriving in so many ways, but the barriers that are presented by her condition"not only limit her quality of life, but ours as a family. We have lived in a bubble for 3 years, and this has become increasingly stressful to us as a family, and is just isolating in general. You have each restored our hope that Ava's future will be normal some day soon. Though Ava did not initially enjoy her time in the HBOT tank, thanks to the compassion and understanding shown by all of you, she became much more comfortable with it (and though she didn't like being confmed, like us, she knew it was helping her). It was also stressful to see some of the detoxing effects that she experienced, but we felt reassured by all of you that she would be ok, and of course, by the end of the week she was. While we know more time will be required for her ultimate healing, we can see that she is much farther ahead than she ever would have been without the treatment. We also know that there is real science behind what you do, and we would not hesitate to recommend this treatment to other families. We look forward to keeping you posted on her progress, and we would not hesitate to return if Ava's doctors feel it is necessary. Beside the wonderful medical treatment Ava received, the emotional care we were shown as a family was tremendous. Everyone went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable, helping us find local stores to buy fresh fruits and vegetables or organic food, and fun and inexpensive local attractions to keep Ava busy when she wasn't in treatment. Each one of you listened to our story and showed such compassion, that we all feel sad to be parting ways. There is no uestion that we see you all as a vital part of Ava's treatment team, or rather as we have come to refer to only the best people we see, as part of Ava's treatment FAMILY. We had some lively and informative discussions with the staff and with the wonderful families we met in the waiting area, and have all grown from this experience. Please do not hesitate to share our letter with other families who may have the same concern and worries that we did before booking our treatment
